DLC SSL V6.0&LUNA V2.0 Standard Interpretation and Response Strategies (Shenzhen) Seminar Successfully Held

On August 8, 2025, the "DLC SSL V6.0&LUNA V2.0 Standard Interpretation and Response Strategies (Shenzhen) Seminar" was successfully held in Bao'an, sponsored by the Global Lighting Procurement Federation and the Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association, and co organized by New Oriental Testing and Certification Group.

From Lianyu Optoelectronics, Jiangjing Lighting, Huadian Lighting, Meister, Wanrun Technology, Kaneng Optoelectronics, Aurora Optoelectronics, Dongling Power, Hengzhiyuan, Bestwang, Keluo Technology UL、CSA、 Yitan Technology, Guangdong Kewen, Mingxue Optoelectronics, Youyi Imaging, GUOWIN Guoying, Purui Optoelectronics, Shenghe Lighting, Minghao Electric LEDVANCE、 More than 30 representatives from companies including Kaiyao, Yiguang Technology, Ruijie Intelligence, and Mingsihai gathered together to discuss the new North American lighting regulations that will be implemented in 2026.

Zeng Xiaolan, President of the Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association, delivered a welcome speech at the opening and emphasized that the purpose of this seminar is to help member units seize market opportunities. In the face of industry challenges, the association will collaborate with multiple forces to fully build a platform, help enterprises overcome certification barriers, and promote global industrial layout.

Xiao Keming, Chairman of New Oriental Testing and Certification Group, first reviewed the close cooperation with Shenzhen LED enterprises and highlighted the company's service upgrades: New Oriental will upgrade Tian'an Shenchuang Valley Laboratory to an internationally recognized CB laboratory (UL recognized), providing more convenient localized testing; Deepen cooperation with international certification bodies UL and CSA, expand explosion-proof certification services from North America to Europe and even the world, and provide strong support for Chinese lighting companies to expand into international markets.
 
Technical interpretation, core changes

A senior engineer from New Oriental conducted an in-depth analysis of the core adjustments in the draft of DLC V6.0 version 2, and stated that the core changes in the DLC V6.0 new standard include the addition of categories such as amber LED/hazardous environment lights, a comprehensive increase in light efficiency threshold, simplified control functions (mandatory pre installation of unified interface), and the need for re certification of old products (no automatic upgrade), with a transition period until October 2026.

At the same time, senior engineers from New Oriental shared their global access solutions for explosion-proof products and stated that explosion-proof products are a safety barrier for flammable and explosive environments, and their quality and compliance are related to production safety, industry development, and public interests. The market access rules are the core defense line to ensure its reliability, and are the "passport" for enterprises to enter the market. With the upgrading of global security standards, they present multidimensional trends, bringing challenges and opportunities to enterprises.
