The high-profile GLPF delegation was headed by Mr. Tang Guoqing, Vice Chairman of the China Illumination Engineering Society (CIES) and GLPF Special Advisor, alongside Ms. Zeng Xiaolan, GLPF Executive President and Chairman of the Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association (SLDA). The contingent also included Ms. Wang Weiting, Founder & General Manager of Xiangchi International; Ms. Ge Xingyan, Secretary-General of SLDA; Mr. Feng Jianxiang, Chairman of Anhui Guanghe Xinzhi; Mr. Yang Ping, General Manager of Shenzhen Xinruilang Technology; Mr. Xiao Zhibiao, General Manager of New Oriental Testing; Mr. Liu Kun, General Manager of Zhongshan Chuanshang Technology; and representatives from numerous GLPF member enterprises. Driven by a mandate to deeply explore global lighting markets, the delegation engaged immersively across all exhibition activities, emerging as a standout presence of Chinese industry excellence on the show floor.
Onsite, the GLPF delegation traced the pulse of industry innovation, conducting in-depth visits to key exhibitor booths including LEDVANCE, Lanjing, Mynice, Sosen, Zhongyue Xiguang, Hangzhou Yongdian, Qiangliuming, Huadian Lighting, Guangdong Liangmeiji, Jiangsu Yurun, Zhongshan Chuanshang, Longteng Lighting, Huayu & Hengkun, Meishang Lighting, Nanchang Keruipu, Manrun Technology, Tuolong Lighting, Culite Optoelectronics, China Radio and Television Tong, Roleds, and Shishang Optoelectronics. At each stop, delegates engaged in substantive dialogues with company leaders, gaining detailed insights into latest product technologies, market strategies, and partnership needs. These interactions were captured in commemorative photos, crystallizing key moments of supply-demand alignment and laying a solid foundation for precise follow-up cooperation.
Beyond corporate visits, the delegation actively participated in high-impact concurrent events. These included THINKLIGHT CONFERENCE, deconstructing design thinking; the SMART BUILDING SUMMIT, exploring the future of building development; and INSPOTLIGHT, a dynamic networking platform led by authoritative bodies including IALD, SLL, and IES. Through hands-on workshops and industry forums, delegates absorbed cutting-edge concepts shaping the global lighting and smart building landscape, significantly broadening their industry perspective.
A highlight of the trip was a pivotal meeting between the delegation and Ms. Colleen Harper, Executive Director of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). The two sides held deep discussions on critical topics including global lighting standards development, technological innovation trends, green and sustainable development, and the integration of international market resources. They reached a consensus on strengthening linkages between international industry organizations and China’s lighting sector—building a vital bridge to facilitate deeper integration of Chinese lighting enterprises into global value chains and amplify their international voice.
As a core nexus connecting global lighting supply and demand, GLPF’s organized participation not only provided member units with a high-efficiency platform for direct international engagement and premium resource matching, but also enabled the precise identification of market pain points and emerging opportunities across the Middle East and beyond. This Dubai mission yielded invaluable frontier insights and rich international cooperation resources, injecting powerful momentum into the high-quality global expansion of China’s lighting industry and fostering synergistic worldwide development.
Notably, GLPF has mapped out an ambitious calendar for 2026, with plans to participate in over 20 professional exhibitions across key global markets including Dubai, Frankfurt, Brazil, and the United States. The federation will continue to organize member delegations for “collective overseas expansion,” utilizing concentrated exhibition participation, business matchmaking, and industry exchange to empower Chinese lighting enterprises in deeply penetrating international markets. All member units are encouraged to closely monitor and actively participate in upcoming initiatives.
