In response to the booming development of the Southeast Asian lighting market, addressing the pain points of Chinese enterprises going global, and promoting efficient collaboration in the global lighting industry chain, on June 24, 2025, the Global Lighting Procurement Federation (GLPF) Thailand Procurement Service Center was officially established in Bangkok, Thailand. Chen Lei, President of the Global Lighting Procurement Federation, Tang Guoqing, Vice Chairman of the China Lighting Society and Special Advisor of the Global Lighting Procurement Federation, Zeng Xiaolan, Executive President of the Global Lighting Procurement Federation and President of the Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association, Mai Weidong, Independent Director of Thailand Zheng'anjin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. and President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and representatives of multiple GLPF member units attended the event together. This marks the official launch of the key node of GLPF's global service network - the Thailand Procurement Service Center (Thailand · Thailand Zheng'anjin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. Bangkok 10260 Bangna District Bangna Road Class 1558/79 Kongti Office Building), providing a solid "one-stop" service platform for Chinese and global lighting companies to enter the Thai and even the entire ASEAN market.
Seize opportunities and overcome pain points: Thailand Procurement Service Center established
The Southeast Asian lighting market has an annual growth rate of over 12% and enormous potential. As a manufacturing hub of ASEAN, Thailand has become a strategic location for Chinese lighting companies to expand globally, thanks to significant policy advantages such as BOI tax incentives and strong demand for new energy transformation. However, challenges such as difficulty in supply chain integration and lack of localized resources also plague overseas enterprises. At the same time, the Thai market also urgently needs to efficiently connect with China's high-quality lighting production capacity. The establishment of GLPF Thailand Procurement Service Center is precisely to precisely meet this urgent need. As a professional organization of GLPF based in Thailand, the center will be committed to providing member companies with:
Accurate docking of localized resources: efficiently linking local Thai buyers, distribution channels, engineering companies, and high-quality Chinese manufacturers.
Consulting on business policies and regulations: providing key information on Thai market access, investment policies, compliance requirements, etc. to reduce risks of going global.
Supply chain integration support: Assist in solving cross-border supply chain challenges and improving operational efficiency.
Market information sharing: timely transmission of market dynamics and trends in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
At the founding ceremony on that day, Mr. Chen Lei, the President of GLPF, delivered an opening speech, emphasizing the strategic significance of the Thailand center in GLPF's global layout of "Golden Triangle+Multi polar Network". Mr. Mai Weidong, representative of Thailand Zheng'anjin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech as a guest and provided valuable localized insights for the attending companies by delving into the policies, risk prevention, and investment situation of industries related to going abroad to Thailand. GLPF Executive President Zeng Xiaolan gave a detailed introduction to the Global Lighting Procurement Federation (GLPF) at the ceremony, elaborating on the background and core mission of the federation, as well as its purpose and value as an international industry collaboration platform, committed to integrating global resources, providing "one-stop" services such as market expansion, procurement docking, standard setting, and brand going global.
The climax of the ceremony was the official unveiling of the Thailand Procurement Service Center, symbolizing GLPF's firm commitment to empowering lighting companies to expand into the Thai and Southeast Asian markets. The subsequent procurement docking and communication session, as well as the dinner event, provided a platform for in-depth communication and cooperation for the attending guests.
Benchmark guidance: Visit core members to gain insights into the forefront of Thai manufacturing
GLPF's visit not only focused on the establishment of the service center, but also organized in-depth visits and inspections of outstanding member enterprises in Thailand by attending guests.
On the morning of June 24th, the GLPF delegation visited Sylvania, a subsidiary of global lighting giant Sylvania in Thailand. The core of this visit was in-depth communication and exchange. The Xiwannian Thailand team shared their strategic layout, localized operation experience, and profound understanding of diversified application scenarios and lighting solutions in Southeast Asia in the Thai market. As a representative of an international brand with a hundred years of history, Xiwannian has demonstrated its deep integration into the Thai and Southeast Asian markets, as well as its outstanding strength in technology application, product strategy, and market development. This meeting effectively promoted exchanges between the two sides in terms of resource sharing and market insights.
As a representative of China's leading LED lighting enterprise going global, the Sunac Thailand factory embodies the scale manufacturing and efficient operation capabilities of Chinese members in Southeast Asia. On June 25th, the Federation visited Rishang Optoelectronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., allowing guests to closely observe its advanced production line and strict quality management system, and appreciate how it relies on Thailand's location advantages to radiate regional markets and quickly respond to localization needs.
On the afternoon of June 25th, the Federation visited Tiandu Lighting (Thai Badr Company). Tiandu Lighting's operations at Badr Company in Thailand showcased its professional expertise in specific fields or engineering projects, with a focus on its innovative technology applications, customization capabilities, and practical achievements in Thai engineering projects such as commercial, industrial, or infrastructure lighting.
Global layout accelerates, the future is promising
The establishment of the Thailand Procurement Service Center is an important milestone for GLPF to fulfill its mission of "expanding the global market together with GLPF". Following closely behind, GLPF has clearly planned to establish a new procurement service center in California, USA in August 2025, and continue to expand to Germany and other places. Its "multipolar network" radiating to 120 countries around the world is accelerating its formation. In addition, GLPF will also hold domestic and foreign brand exchange activities in Xiamen, Hangzhou, Ningbo and other places, and actively plan and organize enterprises to participate in exhibitions and inspections in Brazil, the United States, Thailand, Russia and other countries, deepening international exchanges and cooperation.
The Global Lighting Procurement Federation (GLPF) is becoming a powerful engine for lighting companies to expand into international markets with its strong resource integration capabilities, professional service system, and forward-looking global layout. Joining GLPF means connecting to a global lighting industry ecosystem, sharing market opportunities, and jointly seeking new development opportunities!
